“In Madrid, Red Moon apples were in good demand. We have shown and tried freshly picked fruits to many buyers of a regular distribution network and modern distribution from different countries.
The attractive red color of the pulp and the high content of anthocyanins bring this apple in line with the latest consumer trends.
Red Moon is a truly new product that attracts attention, and last but not least, an apple that can attract the end consumer and create additional sales.
Red Moon doesn’t really compete with the already overcrowded category of apples, but it’s another fruit that is located halfway between the apple and the berries or pomegranates, ”said Jurgen Brown, co-owner of Red Moon's partner company Kiku Variety Management.
Clementi's technical manager and co-owner of the Red Moon Srl brand, explained that Red Moon is currently the only brand with 100% red apples with red flesh made in Italy.
This variety has already been planted on 100 hectares. in the most suitable areas of Alto Adige and Veneto. This year 1.5 thousand tons of apples of a new variety were harvested.
In a few days, the company will begin supplying apples in special packaging to Germany, Benelux and Scandinavian countries. Commercial trials will pass with a selection of distributors in Italy that will cover Spain. The company organizes tastings under the slogan "surprise inside."
