Representatives of the agricultural sector of the Crimean peninsula to this day by common efforts have managed to thresh their first sunflower crop in the amount of five thousand tons. At the same time, a little more than three thousand hectares were threshed.
The average sunflower yield is fifteen and a half centners per hectare cultivated.
Such information was shared with the public by representatives of the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. In addition, the department noted that in 2019, Crimean agricultural producers were tasked with harvesting seventy thousand hectares of sunflower fields.
It will not be amiss to note that in parallel with the Crimean agrarians, a harvesting campaign on lands with sunflowers is carried out by representatives of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Adygea, as well as Stavropol and Rostov farmers and their colleagues from the Ulyanovsk and Saratov regions.
In total, Russian farmers at this point have managed to thresh fifty eight thousand seven hundred tons of sunflower seeds from twenty eight and a half thousand hectares.
The average all-Russian yield indicator exceeds twenty and a half centners per hectare.
