After the peak indicators of the purchase prices of live bacon pork in mid-June, a gradual decline in quotations began on the Ukrainian market.

For the second week, pigs in purchasing conditions are getting cheaper. Next week, a further decline in quotes is forecasted.

“The 26th week of the year demonstrates a downward movement of live bait value. The predicted price of the participants of the Association "Meat Industry" for the 27th week will vary from 43.00-46.00 UAH / kg live pig. According to the polls, the average price for the purchase of pork for 26 weeks was 45.97 UAH / kg of live weight, ”the Association said.

As for foreign markets, the situation is ambiguous. So, in the USA, the price of live bait is reduced, and in Germany the quotes are stable and even a slight rise in price is forecasted.

However, in both of these countries, slaughter pigs are cheaper than in Ukraine. “In the US market for live pork, the price is $ 1.23 / kg live weight. The German market is currently at around 1.37 euros, ”say analysts at the Meat Industry Association.
