The farmers of Rozkvitne-Agro LLC from the Odessa region on June 24, 2019, independently detained raiders who, at the height of the working day, harvested wheat on their fields, farmers report.
On June 24, unidentified people harvested wheat on working land on a 12-hectare company’s leased land. Farmers had to stop the raiders on their own and block the departure of trucks already loaded with stolen grain. The crime was reported to the police, they say in the company.
According to the representatives of Rozkvitne-Agro LLC, law enforcement officers from the Limansky and Beryozovsky districts of the Odessa region arrived at the field, supervised by police colonel Alexander Belokon.
Farmers express dissatisfaction with the police and believe that they, instead of protecting their rights, are involved in delaying the investigation, which helps the raiders.
Police officers spent several hours in the fields, but during this time they did not carry out a single event that would be aimed at stopping criminal acts against Roskvitne-Agro LLC.
Affected farmers say that a day or more after filing an application with law enforcement agencies, a criminal case was not instituted. Raiders do not stop trying to export grain from the fields of the company.
All these criminal acts are carried out with the tacit consent of Police Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Belokony, in whose jurisdiction the crime scene is located, the company notes.
