The members of the European Commission recently announced that at the moment there is an active process of creating a single list of wines from European producers from different countries.
It is known that a single database will combine the information and characteristics of genuine wines from certified manufacturers that produce alcoholic beverages within the framework of a protected geographical name system.
Representatives of the European Commission shared this information in an official statement, noting that the new base is called “eAmbrosia”. In addition, the associations emphasized that at the moment the base totals more than three thousand two hundred kinds of various wines and other alcoholic drinks, which are supplied to the market from manufacturers from EU countries.
It is noteworthy that the base "eAmbrosia" operates in the public domain for all comers. Users can use this list to find out the country of origin by the name of the wine, as well as characteristics such as: grape variety, growing region, product code, date entered in the unified register, organoleptic moments, a complete list of specific product features.
A hyperlink to the manufacturers website will be posted right there. It will not be superfluous to note that today the eAmbrosia database combines information about wines and winegrowers from such systems that are popular in the world food industry such as DOOR, E-Bacchus and e-Spirit.
