The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations is not going to support the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amending Certain Legislative Acts Regarding Improving the Legal Regulation of Fur Production in Ukraine” No. 10019. This was stated by deputy chairman of the committee Oleksandr Bakumenko.
According to the official, this law discriminates against certain types of economic activity, which violates the Constitution of Ukraine and leads to excessive and unjustified administrative pressure on business.
According to Alexander Bakumenko, if law No. 10019 is adopted, this will entail an increase in social tension in the countryside due to the loss of jobs. As a result, labor migration abroad will increase.
Ukrainian consumers will become completely dependent on imports of raw materials for light industry and finished products. Ukrainian exports will decline, as 100% of the production of animal farms goes for sale to other countries.
The budget will not receive tax revenues. Ukraine will lose about $ 70 million in foreign exchange earnings per year. The country's investment image will be spoiled, and it will be obliged to pay about $ 310 million in compensation to foreign investors.
Due to the problem of utilization of 40 thousand tons of waste from the production of fish processing and poultry farms, the environmental condition of the environment will deteriorate. If the law is passed, it will become a stimulating factor for the development of animal husbandry in 22 countries of the European Union, as well as in the USA, Canada, Russia and Belarus, where such activities are not prohibited.
