Based on the information released by Rosstat employees, to date, agrarians of the Russian Federation managed to sow more than forty-seven million hectares of land as part of spring work. And this equals 89% of the planned plan.
For clarity, we add that in 2018, by the same period, Russian farmers managed to sow spring crops with only a little less than forty-two million hectares.
According to employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, at present the share of spring grain crops in the country is equal to twenty-seven million hectares - more than 90% of the volume planned for 2019.
Speaking specifically about spring barley, its part in the gross volume of spring crops carried out today is equal to seven and a half million hectares (96% of the intended volume).
As for corn for grain production, its current indicator is a little more than two and a half million hectares. And here we are talking about one hundred percent implementation of the plan. The volumes planned for rice are 90% completed and amount to one hundred seventy-four thousand hectares.
But as far as the sunflower spring crops are concerned, justified reasons for pride are guessed - the farmers exceeded the plan (103%) and to this day have planted eight million hectares with this crop.
