On the territory of the Molchanovsky district, which is located in the Tomsk region, a dangerous predator was shot dead the other day - a bear that terrified local animals and pastoralists.

The bear was killed in the village of Maykovo, right after the predatory beast once again attacked a cow.

According to Anatoly Kostetsky, who is a well-known Molchanovsky hunting expert, the day before, a bear entered the territory of an agricultural facility and killed a cow. And at night he returned to the scene of his crime. Then it was overtaken by a hunter who was in ambush. A shot rang out, and a two hundred kilogram bear fell dead.

Experts say that the predator was about five or six years old. Based on the available data, the experts concluded that this is the same bear that attacked another cow in late spring of this year.

It is noteworthy that the cows did not manage to escape from the claws of the beast, but the calf, which was next to her mother, managed to escape from the angry bear.

Now the bear carcass is in one of the veterinary laboratories of the Tomsk region. Experienced specialists conduct research, trying to understand whether the bear was sick with dangerous infectious diseases, and whether there is a threat to the epizootic security of the region.
