Success in beekeeping is largely influenced by weather conditions and the environment. In some years, beekeepers are not able to get a large amount of honey, as in 2019.
This spring in the Carpathian region, heavy precipitation took place, which caused damage to household plots. there will be no honey.
According to Roman Dyazhuk, a representative of the young generation of beekeepers, this year it will not be possible to prepare honey even for the family, since in the spring there were constant showers, which also showed themselves in the beginning of summer.
When it rained in the spring, the bees did not fly out of the hives at all. They had little honey even for their own food, and they were not able to bring nectar. Currently, when there is no rain, almost nothing blooms, the beekeeper explains. Last year, the family of beekeepers managed to get up to 5 kg of honey from each hive, which is a big crop.
Roman Dyazhuk located his apiary in a place that can hardly be called a honey plant. There are no fields around, but only forest and gardens. This is both good and bad.
On the one hand, bees cannot give a large amount of honey, and on the other hand, their honey will not contain chemicals with which farmers process their fields. According to the beekeeper, his honey is therefore valued so highly that it is pure from harmful impurities.
