Svetlana and Yuriy Bychkovsky created the first crocodile farm in Ukraine in their hometown. Some crocodiles have grown to 4 m in length.
The idea to create a nursery for predators arose after Yuri brought home a small crocodile. Farmers bought animals in circuses and private menageries. Later they decided to create conditions for comfortable breeding. In addition to crocodiles, the farm also has snakes and cayman turtles, says Svetlana.
Each of the animals has its own name. The owners take care of them with love, like children. Crocodile meat has never been eaten, although there have been many offers, says Yuri.
Favorite dishes of predators are calf heart and fish.
Now crocodiles live in aviaries rented from a shopping center. And in the summer, the Bychkovsky couple plans to take them to the Odessa region and create a reserve there.
