Ivan Palamarchuk, director of the snail farm of Canyon Group LLC, recently received a government award. He deserved special attention of the Cabinet of Ministers for the establishment of a snail farming farm and the development of tourism in the territory of the village of Kopachintsy, Gorodenkovsky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The Ivan Palamarchuk snail farm attracts tourists who are rafting along the Dniester River. An excursion to the farm is attended by adults and children. Here they can taste delicious meat cooked using special technology. To make it interesting for tourists, they are constantly experimenting on the farm.

The history of the snail farm in Kopachintsy began 2 years ago. Ivan, along with friends, was thinking about the possibility of starting his own business. I didn’t want to go to work, because this is not an option for the country.

We decided to organize a farm for growing snails, rented 10 acres of land. At first, the villagers were wary of the neighborhood with the mollusks, fearing that they would crawl through the vegetable gardens. But this did not happen and people calmed down.

The company sells its products under the brand name "Pokutskaya snail", popular among restaurants. But restaurateurs are not reliable. Given this, entrepreneurs are looking for foreign markets, especially since the prices of such goods there are higher.

The Cabinet of Ministers Prize each year finds its owner, who has special achievements and encourages the young generation to participate in social and political life.
