A plant for the production of corn starch will soon open in Yagotin, Kiev region. The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine this year has already approved its acquisition with the aim of opening the production of corn starch.
The products of the new enterprise will be sold inside Ukraine and through export deliveries to other countries. The opening of the processing plant will give the Kiev region 200 new jobs that will appear as soon as it starts working at full capacity.
The company's management did not refuse to hire the entire staff of the former Special Equipment factory and raised their salaries, says company director Vladimir Salyga.To date, the premises of the sugar factory in Yagotin is almost the only one where all the equipment has been completely preserved. From the remaining non-functioning sugar factories in Ukraine there is practically nothing left, sometimes there are not even walls and foundations.
