Russian beekeepers are sounding the alarm - in the open spaces of the Kursk region, as well as in many areas of the Ryazan, Lipetsk and Vologda regions, a massive pestilence of bees has been recorded.
In particular, the Kursk beekeepers noticed that their melliferous wards perish immediately in ten regions of the region. Owners of dead insects do not exclude the possibility that their winged population is being intensively reduced due to the fact that local farmers use aggressive chemicals in their work in the fields.
When treating agricultural crops with chemical pest herbicides, farmers do not think about what damage bees can do.
At the moment, the true causes of the pestilence of insects are being established. This is done by leading experts of the animal disease control station in Kursk. According to them, the first will be an examination of dead bees and analysis of biological material.
These and other measures will also be taken in other areas of the Russian Federation, where honey carriers died en masse.
In the meantime, beekeepers do not exclude the possibility that a general pestilence of bees will not allow them to obtain the volume of honey that they are used to over the past few years.
