Similar technologies are used all over the world, but Smallhold specialists were able to automate and significantly improve the production process. Among the improvements - climate control system, cameras and sensors that help in tracking the level of humidity, air temperature and percentage of carbon dioxide. In total, the company collects 30 million units of evidence. Using this data, startup specialists create their optimal cultivation strategies.

The average yield per week is 18-36 kg of mushrooms. This is 40% more than conventional mushroom farms. At the same time, the growing process consumes 96% less water.

In addition to oyster mushrooms, Hericium erinaceus grows on the farm. Agrocybe cylindracea and shiitake. The company does not throw away the used substrate, but gives it to local enterprises for composting.
