In Chernivtsi region launched a special sorting line of apple production. Residents of the village of Nedoboevtsy, who work at a factory in the Khotinsky district, carefully monitor the automatic selection of fruits for export to Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.

The head of the enterprise, where the apples are stored and sorted, admits: today the company's refrigeration units store more than six thousand tons of fruits for further transportation to Asia.

“A similar practice exists all over the world,” says the owner of the enterprise. “Large batch crops from several farms are stored in special logistics hubs.” We have “sheltered” the harvest of 37 farms and gardening with an area of ​​180 hectares. Now we have 32 cold rooms with apples that can be stored for a long time without compromising on taste and appearance at temperatures ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 degrees Celsius. ”

It is noteworthy that most apples are stored here until spring, when prices for this product are rising worldwide. When the value of apples reaches its peak, the fruit will be exported.

“Not many people know that apples of the same shape and color should be delivered to Bangladesh, and the fruits should be medium-sized,” the owner of the hub notes. - In Saudi Arabia, larger fruits are in demand. Based on the priorities of the customer, we sort Ukrainian export apples by 14 indicators. The color, roundness, weight, shape, etc. are important. ”

The sorting process is performed by automated mechanisms; the task of the hub employees is to carefully monitor the process.
