In the first six months of this year, Ukrainian producers sent to the foreign market such an amount of fats and vegetable oil that could provide a turnover of almost two and a half billion US dollars.
It is noteworthy that this indicator is three percent higher than those figures that made up the turnover a year earlier.
Such information was shared with the public by Nikolai Pugachev, who is the deputy head of the Institute of Agricultural Economics. He also emphasized that today the lion's share of oil and fat exports is sunflower oil.
In the first half of this year, Ukrainian producers sold so much sunflower oil on the world market that they managed to gain about two billion two hundred million dollars. This amount is two percent higher than the amount of revenue in the first half of last year.
It should also be noted that, according to tradition, India is the largest buyer of Ukrainian oil. The remaining importing countries are significantly inferior to Indian buyers in their requests.
In particular, it is known that major buyers of Ukrainian oils and fats are countries such as the People's Republic of China, the Netherlands, Iraq, Spain and Italy.
